Several students from Kenyatta University have lost their lives following a horrifying road accident.
In a statement, Kenya Red Cross said the incident occurred when their bus collided with a lorry at MacKinnon Junction in Maungu, Voi along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway.
The injured have been rushed to Moi Hospital in Voi for urgent medical attention.
"We are actively responding to a road traffic incident involving a bus that collided with a trailer at Manyatta, past Maungu in Voi Sub-County.
Multiple injured individuals have been swiftly taken to Moi Hospital in Voi, and our response efforts are ongoing," the statement from the Kenya Red Cross authority affirmed.
